It's impossible to go wrong with a collection of high quality games that includes some of the best games ever produced at under 6$ each. 5/5 stars. I don't know of any resolution out there presently that is not supported beautifully by these games. You'll get the complete set of Half-Life 2 games, including the original widely loved Half-Life 2 as well as HL2: Episodes 1 & 2, Team Fortress 2, and Portal. The multiplayer experience you'll get out of Team Fortress 2 is, at the very least, excellent.
This set contains some of the best games ever made. This boils down to less than 6$ a game. This set would be worth it just for Half-Life 2, let alone all the other games it contains, including the two Half-Life 2 Episodes following Half-Life 2.The resolution support of all of the games that come in The Orange Box is perfect. Portal, while it pales in comparison to the other games in The Orange Box, is a quality game in its own right that anyone who enjoys puzzles will get a kick out of.This is without a doubt the best value in gaming presently available, and I couldn't recommend it more highly, especially for the Half-Life 2 games it contains. You can't go wrong with The Orange Box.
That's 5 games - some of which are among the best ever produced on any gaming platform, all for under 30 bucks. The storyline you'll enjoy in the Half-Life franchise is one of the most interesting and widely acclaimed in the gaming world.
Playing through Half Life 2 was the best fifteen hours of my life. The Source engine that all the games run on is amazing.

The physics are such that you can pick up almost anything in the environment. However, the opinion stated in the review is that of the reviewer and the reviewer alone.
The Orange Box provided me with hours upon hours of entertainment. Portal also provides several hours of fun puzzle solving.
Every gamer should have this at the top of their list.(The reviewer was compensated for posting this review.
big mistake. i leave it on all night (about 10 more hours), still preparing.
im probably just going to torrent it, if Valve yells at me, ill yell back cuz the store bought version sucks. still preparing cache files.
i try again and wait all day, after reinstalling steam and everything. i am thoroughly disappointed with this, and will most likely never purchase another Valve game unless these problems get fixed.
I purchased the orange box for PC. i installed steam, and after waiting 3 hours for it to finish, i started installing ONE game off of the orange box, HL2, and after a cpl hours, it was still preparing cache files.
i want my money back or a copy without steam or something, because my internet here sucks, and the box has ZERO mention of requiring internet OR having to use steam.
Try it and you probably won't regret it. It has everything from classic FPS action, to puzzle, to insane online multiplayer.+ The price considering all five games is very low.+ The "Source Engine" these games run on are very computer friendly and do not lag even on some older hardware.+ The "Team Fortress 2" game, personally, has been keeping me busy for well over a year.CONS- For those who do not like Steam, don't buy this. The Orange Box is simply one of the best deals in video game history. Five A-rated games all in one package for the price of one is never a bad deal.PROS+ This will keep you busy for a while. I personally have no problem with it, but unfortunately to you people it is required.- While thirty dollars for this is still pretty cheap, wait for a sale on Steam to get it a lot cheaper if you don't mind not getting a physical copy.Every PC game player should at least give the Orange Box a whirl.
So I cannot buy nor recommend this software.I wanted to buy it, but when I started reading the reviews to check for DRMs, I saw Steam/Valve has not changed for the better. I was supposed to get Episode 1 for free, but they took so long that I moved on to a new computer and thus lost my links. While I know some get tired of people complaining about a game they have not purchased; I think it fair to rate this game poorly as I cannot buy it since it is Steam/Valve. I bought HL2 thru the Steam Download when it came out and I cannot play it as I cannot find my login and password. Valve's support is not good, their servers are slow when they actually work and when you want to play you have to wait hours for the games to 'update'.
